The Centre for the Study of the United States (CSUS) is the hub for teaching and research on the United States at the University. The CSUS is a broad-based consortium which brings together scholars and students in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law. The CSUS runs a regular seminar series in American studies, hosts short-term visiting professors and, through its connection with the Canada-U.S. Fulbright programme, promotes the reciprocal exchange of scholars and students between the two countries. The CSUS is also responsible for an undergraduate programme in American Studies, interdisciplinary in nature, which is a major programme in the Faculty of Arts and Science. It also sponsors student internships with various governmental and non-governmental organizations in the United States and Canada.
