Global Cities Program

In this, the world's first "Urban Century," the need to build knowledge, elevate debate and improve policy analysis on cities has never been greater.

The Global Cities Program (GCP) creates a hub of activities at the University of Toronto that will foster collaboration both locally and internationally.

GCP uses information technology in distance learning, sponsors a speakers series, and develops workshop linkages for the exchange of ideas and comparative research on cities around the globe.

The Global Cities Program has been established by Professor Patricia McCarney in the Munk Centre for International Studies (MCIS) at the University of Toronto through the generous contribution of the Donner Canadian Foundation.
